UCSF and Kaiser
Permanente have many centers devoted to research in areas
essential to chronic aging-related diseases of women. This
is a sample of the units likely to be of greatest value
to trainees in Women's Health.

There are numerous
research centers and groups that will directly support one
or more of the inter-disciplinary research areas in chronic
diseases and conditions of women.

UCSF and Kaiser
are home to many of the largest and richest databases in
older women’s health. Junior faculty and fellows at UCSF
have used these databases to get a rapid start in clinical
research with analyses, publications, presentations and
preliminary studies for their own grant proposals.
