Courses
Divisional faculty sponsor a variety of courses designed for upper-division medical students and students from other schools at UCSF. In addition faculty serve as instructors for a variety of epidemiology and preventive medicine courses at the School of Public Health in Berkeley.

Fellowships
Joint Residency Program in Public Health and General Preventive Medicine; Dr Rutherford, Director. The Department, in conjunction with the Department of Family and Community Medicine, sponsors this two-year residency with the School of Public Health at Berkeley. The residency is for physicians who have completed their clinical training and emphasizes prevention research and public health practice in managed care environments. Residents spend their first year obtaining an MPH degree at UC Berkeley and their second year in practicum rotations at SFGH, SF Department of Public Health, California Department of Health Services, Kaiser Permanente and other agencies.
