The Computer Systems team has been providing network services and data management services for over 25 years to support the research, educational, and administrative needs of our users.
User Community
We support the following user groups:
- Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics
- Prevention and Public Health Group (formerly The Institute for Global Health)
- San Francisco Coordinating Center
- Women's Health Clinical Research Center (DMG Services only)
Mission Statement
Our mission is to develop and maintain a network and systems that efficiently and effectively support our users, satisfy funding agencies, and align with university polices for electronic security.
We work from the following guiding principles:
- Standardization and modularization for ease of operation and maintenance
- Centralized control to promote a stable, secure computing environment
- Flexible and scalable solutions to accommodate a variety of user needs
- Shared resources (through university recharge) to maximize network capabilities while minimizing costs
