PhoneMail
To access PhoneMail from your phone, press the PHML button, then #, and enter your access code. Press # again, then 3 to hear new messages.
Remote access is available by dialing 353-7722. When prompted, enter your 5-digit extension followed by the # key. Then enter your password and press the # key again.
Conference Calls
The Conference Feature lets you have up to eight parties, including yourself, in a telephone conversation. The other parties besides yourself can be on trunks (outside lines) or extensions.
To use the Conference Feature:
- Call your first party. During the call,
- Press the TRANSFER key.
- Listen to the confirmation tone, followed by the internal dial tone.
- Dial the extension you want to add, or dial (9) and the outside number.
- After the party answers you want to connect all parties:
Press the TRANSFER key again. - To reconnect to the conference when a called party isn't joining:
Press the CONNECT key. - To drop the last added party and then rejoin the conference:
Press the TRANSFER key and dial ***4.
Then press the CONNECT key, or the TRANSFER key.
Consultation Feature
Consultation allows you to put the party you are currently talking to on hold, so that you can call and talk privately with a second party. Press CONNECT to alternate between the two parties. To consult with a second party during a call:
- Press the TRANSFER key.
- Listen to the confirmation tone, followed by the internal dial tone.
- Dial the second party's extension or (9) and the outside number.
- Talk with the second party.
- Don't forget that you can press CONNECT to alternate between the two parties.
- Once you are finished consulting with the second party they can hang up and you can press CONNECT again and go back to your first call.
International Calls
After dialing a long international phone number, push the # button; this will signal that you are done dialing and will trigger the prompt for the authorization code.
