China Basin Notice
Recycling Procedures
China Basin participates in a Co-Mingling Recycling Program. Co-Mingling means all recyclable items such as paper, bottles, and cans no longer need to be separated. The containers at each person’s desk should be used for recyclable materials. All other non-recyclable materials need to be placed in your common area trash containers, usually placed in break-rooms or kitchens. In the evening the janitorial crew utilizes separate containers to keep the recyclable and non-recyclable items separate.

We are currently in the process of rolling out a new recycling program where each tenant will have a trash container at their own desk which will eliminate the need to get up and “throw away” trash items and to prevent contamination of recyclable materials. We will notify you of when these containers will be distributed.

The following items are recyclable:

E-Waste Recycling:

China Basin also hosts E-Waste Recycling events throughout the year with Universal Waste Management providing the free pick up. The next scheduled event is November 19th.

For a cost quote and to schedule a pick up on your own please go to their website, www.unwaste.com or call 888-832-9839.

Other Waste Disposal and Recycling Assistance:

The building office also offers assistance and referrals for disposal of all other materials (i.e. furniture, toner). We can supply you with names of vendors for approved recycling receptacles. NEVER put hazardous materials in the trash (i.e. fluorescent light bulbs, paint, glue, used hypodermic needles, etc.).

All of this information will be posted on the Electronic Tenant Handbook by tomorrow (http://chinabasin.info).

Thank you.
