| OBJECTIVES |
 |
Design and execution are the first steps of a research project; presenting
the results, at a meeting or in a journal, is its culmination. The objectives
of this course are to provide a detailed understanding of:
- How to prepare abstracts, manuscripts, and oral presentations;
- What belongs in each section of a manuscript;
- How to decide what (and whom) to include; and
- What happens when abstracts and manuscripts are reviewed.

| GRADING |

Grades (satisfactory/unsatisfactory ONLY) will be based on homework (50%),
class participation (25%), and the final project (25%). Weekly assignments
are due at the start of each class (including the first class). Please
note that late assignments are not accepted.
