Publishing & Presenting Clinical Research

OBJECTIVES

Design and execution are the first steps of a research project; presenting the results, at a meeting or in a journal, is its culmination. The objectives of this course are to provide a detailed understanding of:
  • How to prepare abstracts, manuscripts, and oral presentations;
  • What belongs in each section of a manuscript;
  • How to decide what (and whom) to include; and
  • What happens when abstracts and manuscripts are reviewed, and how to respond.

FORMAT

Five Tuesdays from 1:15-2:45 PM, from 4/8/08 through 6/3/08 and two Thursdays from 1:00-2:30 PM on 5/15/08 and 5/22/08.
