learn:
- How to use measurement concepts to improve questionnaire design;
- How to locate pre-existing measures for ease of questionnaire development
and improved validity; and
- How to evaluate pre-existing measures for conceptual and psychometric
adequacy, especially in research in diverse populations.

| HOMEWORK |
 |
Students will review and critique two measures of a concept
of interest, using a template provided (as an MS Word file) by the instructor.
This provides practical experience in delving into a measure in detail,
and at the same time illustrates how to apply measurement principles to
understand the adequacy of specific measures for one's own research.
