Assistant Adjunct Professor

I recently joined Center for Bioinformatics & Molecular Biostatistics after receiving a PhD in Statistics from UC Berkeley in 1999 and two years working on gene finding and motif finding for splicing regulation in Chris Burge's lab for computational biology at MIT. The theme of my research is to understand nature through statistical modeling and analysis of biological data, primarily on sequence and experimental data arising from high-throughput genomic studies. Collaborative research and statistical consulting is another major component of my work here.
